Mangaluru, Apr 14: Carmel School, CBSE, Kotekar paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his 134th birth anniversary on April 14.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer, setting a reverent tone for the day. This was followed by an informative presentation on the significance of Ambedkar Jayanthi, emphasizing Dr Ambedkar’s pivotal role as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and his unwavering commitment to social justice and equality.

Sr Pramila AC, the principal along with coordinators Sr Fidele AC. Sr Ashwina AC and Tr Roopa, offered floral tributes to the great visionary. In her address, Sr Pramila commended Dr Ambedkar’s monumental contributions in drafting the Indian constitution, championing the cause of education and equal rights for all, irrespective of caste or background.
The celebration served as a powerful reminder for all to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and to treat every individual with dignity and respect. As Dr Ambedkar profoundly stated, “A great man is different from an eminent one in that he is ready to be the servant of society.”
