Mangaluru: SCS Hospital wins top honours at CAHOCON 2025 for excellence in gastroenterology services

Mangaluru, Apr 14: SCS Hospital achieved a milestone by setting up the first super-specialized department of gastroenterology – ‘SCS Institute for Liver and Gastrointestinal Disorders’ – in Dakshina Kannada district in 2018 under the guidance of chairman and managing director, Dr Jeevaraj Sorake.

At present, the hospital's hard work and commitment towards providing high-quality care, patient safety, excellent outcomes and services has been recognized by CAHO (Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations).

SCS Hospital Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru has been declared a top performer and winner in the Pan India Endosafe Audit conducted by CAHO, endorsed by reputed bodies such as ISQua, ASQua, and the Quality Council of India, under the medium hospital category in the South Zone.

The hospital’s unique super-specialized department of gastroenterology – ‘SCS Institute for Liver and Gastrointestinal Disorders’, under the leadership of Dr Chandrashekar J Sorake and team, has been declared a top performer and winner for quality, safety and excellence in services.

Dr Chandrashekar J Sorake, clinical director and head of the department of gastroenterology, and Rama J Sorake, chief administrative officer of SCS Hospital, received the award on behalf of SCS Hospital Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru, during the CAHOCON Event 2025 held on April 12 and 13 in New Delhi.

The event was graced by Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta and Dr Kiran Bedi, IPS.
