Mangaluru, Apr 15: In preparation for the upcoming protest meeting scheduled on April 18 at Adyar Garden against the alleged anti-Waqf bill introduced by the central government, the S Y S Krishnapura zone held a protest meeting at Krishnapura Junction on Monday.

Speaking at the gathering, advocate Noufal Marzooki Valalu alleged that the central government is attempting to take away the properties of the Muslim community. He criticized the Centre for framing laws that are unnecessary for anyone in the country, solely to target minorities. He warned that the Muslim community will not allow such actions to go unchallenged.

He further accused the central government of attempting to divide the unity of the Muslim community instead of implementing the recommendations of the Sachar Committee report aimed at the community’s development.

The meeting was presided over by Irfan Noorani, President of the S Y S Krishnapura Circle. Hakim Falcon, president of the Krishnapura Central Madrasa Committee, also addressed the gathering.

S Y S state leader Haji Muhammad Asif, district secretary Haji Abdul Rahman, zone secretary Muhammad Mansoor, and Muhammad Swadik Krishnapura were present on the dais. Hundreds of people from Krishnapura participated in the meeting.
