The celebration was marked by a meaningful prayer service conducted by the BEd students, centered around the visionary ideals of Dr B R Ambedkar. As part of the service, the staff and student representatives lit the lamp, signifying the importance of knowledge in achieving social transformation.
Following the prayer service, a short video was presented depicting Dr B R Ambedkar — a visionary leader who rose from social exclusion to become a strong advocate for inclusion. The video highlighted his contributions to human rights, equality, and fraternity.

Two students shared their reflections on 'Teacher’s role in carrying forward Ambedkar’s legacy' during the occasion. They emphasized the responsibility of educators in fostering equality, equity, and inclusivity in the classroom.
Dr Farita Viegas, dean, in her message, highlighted the relevance of Dr B R Ambedkar’s commitment to justice, his advocacy for democratic values, and the importance of gender equality in today’s society. She also expressed that teachers can play a pivotal role as agents of transformation and creators of inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered.
As an act of commitment to the constitutional values of liberty, equality, and fraternity, the dean administered the Preamble of the Indian Constitution as a pledge to the audience.
The celebration concluded with the floral offering to Dr Ambedkar’s portrait—a gesture of respect and gratitude toward the architect of the Indian Constitution.
