Mangaluru: Youth disappears with gold, leaves letter citing debt

Mangaluru, Apr 16: A 21-year-old youth identified as Nikhil Raj, son of Ramachandra and a resident of Mallali Matti in Badagulipadi, has been reported missing since April 11.

According to the complaint filed, Nikhil left his home around 9 pm, taking 40 grams of gold from the cupboard. He also left behind a letter stating that he was under heavy debt. Additionally, he returned a mobile phone he had been using, which belonged to a female friend.

He is described as being 5.5 feet tall, wheatish in complexion, and of average build. He is fluent in Kannada and Tulu.

Police have requested that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact the Bajpe police station.
