Mangaluru, Apr 17: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Valencia Unit is all set to mark a remarkable milestone as it celebrates 10 glorious years of its establishment. To commemorate this decennial celebration, the unit will host a vibrant musical evening titled ‘Sangeeth Saanz 2.0’ on Easter Sunday, April 20, starting at 6 pm at the Valencia Church Grounds.
Founded in 2015 under the leadership of then parish priest Fr James D’Souza, ICYM Valencia has grown to become a dynamic and integral part of the parish community. Over the past decade, the unit has consistently demonstrated its commitment to church activities and has been a strong pillar of support for the parish.

Currently, under the spiritual guidance of parish priest Fr Roque D’Sa, assistant parish priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, and animator Ronald Rodrigues, the youth continue to play an active role in various parish initiatives. The enthusiastic leadership of president Clive Rego and secretary Neha D’Souza has further strengthened the unit, bringing the youth together in faith, fellowship, and service.
Many of the ICYM members now proudly represent the parish at both deanery and diocesan levels, showcasing their dedication and involvement beyond the local community.
As part of the decennial celebration, Sangeeth Saanz 2.0 promises an evening of soulful music and energetic performances. Taking the stage will be an ensemble of talented musicians including:
• Sanjay Rodrigues (Sanju Baba) on keyboard
• Roshan Fernandes on drums
• Clyde Lobo on lead guitar
• Swibert Mascarenhas on bass guitar
Renowned vocalists Robin Sequeira, Ashwin Sequeira, Carol Sequeira, Dealle D’Souza, and Verna D’Souza will enchant the audience with their melodious voices. Adding to the celebration, Team D’Gallery, led by Sandesh Monteiro and Charan Kumar, will deliver captivating dance performances.
ICYM Valencia warmly invites everyone to join them on this special evening of music, celebration, and gratitude. The event is open to all and entry is free.
