New Delhi, Apr 18: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy was brutally stabbed to death in J-Block of New Seelampur in North East Delhi, sending shockwaves across the local community. The deceased, identified as Kunal, son of Rajveer, was attacked around 7:38 pm on Thursday.
Police said they received information about the assault shortly after the incident and rushed Kunal to JPC Hospital. Despite efforts by doctors, the teenager succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The crime team reached the scene to conduct a detailed probe, and a case has been registered at Seelampur Police Station. Senior officers are monitoring the investigation, with multiple teams deployed to trace and apprehend the culprits. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and officials are scanning CCTV footage and questioning eyewitnesses for leads.
The gruesome murder has left residents of New Seelampur deeply concerned, with many demanding stronger policing and swift justice. “We need better safety measures. Incidents like this make it hard for families to feel secure,” said one local resident.
Meanwhile, in a broader effort to curb rising crime and ensure safety in the national capital, Delhi Police have stepped up general patrolling. A night patrol drive from 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. is being conducted across several areas, including Defence Colony.
Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain stated, “The general patrolling campaign is a regular drill. We had one in March, and now we’re conducting it for April. Officers from all ranks are participating, including the Commissioner of Police himself, to ensure visible policing on the streets.”
As the investigation into Kunal’s murder continues, the city’s law enforcement remains on high alert.
