Mangaluru, Apr 18: Kudlothsava, in association with the Rickshaw Drivers Union Commission Mangalore, will host a first-of-its-kind Rickshaw Drivers Cricket Tournament in Mangaluru, bringing together over 720 rickshaw drivers from across the city on May 18.

The matches will begin at 6:00am and take place across 6 different grounds in Mangaluru. A total of 48 teams, organized under 8 franchises, with 15 players per team, will participate in this one-day mega event.

The grand finale and prize distribution ceremony will be held at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru, at pm, followed by a cultural programme. The event will be graced by ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other invited guests.

This tournament is a tribute to the dedication and hard work of rickshaw drivers, giving them a platform to relax, connect, and celebrate through sports.

Kudlothsava invites the public to witness and support this unique community event.

The tournament was announced in a press coference by Ananad Lobo, Dayanand Kukkaje, Mohan Krishna, Ashwin, Dayakar and Nasir.
