Mumbai, Apr 21: Actress Payal Ghosh has once again taken aim at filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, this time over his recent controversial remarks about the Brahmin community. Ghosh, who had previously accused Kashyap of sexual harassment, said his comments further expose his "disrespectful" nature and called for him to be boycotted from both Bollywood and society.
Labeling him a ‘disgusting human being,’ Ghosh said, “Someone who can force himself on a woman can easily make shameful remarks about a community. What he said about Brahmins is absolutely disgraceful. The industry is better off without him.”

Her statement came after Kashyap’s reply to a social media user went viral, in which he used vulgar language against Brahmins while responding to criticism over his film Phule. The backlash led to an FIR being filed against the filmmaker at the Bajaj Nagar police station in Jaipur.
Kashyap later issued an apology, clarifying that while he stood by most of what he said, he regretted the specific remark that sparked outrage. He also revealed that his family, especially the women, had received rape and death threats due to the controversy.
Payal, meanwhile, reiterated her past allegations against the filmmaker, recalling her 2020 complaint filed under the MeToo movement, where she accused Kashyap of assaulting her in 2013. “Karma always finds its way,” she said, urging for strong action against him.
