Udupi, Apr 21: The Association of Physicians of India (API) Udupi-Manipal Chapter, in collaboration with the department of Medicine, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, successfully conducted the state-level Manipal medicine quiz 2025 on April 19 at the Dr T M A Pai Auditorium, Manipal. The event aimed to promote academic excellence and foster a spirit of healthy competition among budding doctors.
The quiz saw enthusiastic participation from medical colleges across Karnataka, with undergraduate and postgraduate students showcasing their clinical knowledge, quick thinking, and team spirit.






Medicine UG winners:
1st prize: Kalyani Gopal, Rahul Kamath – Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
2nd prize: Arush Ul Islam, Helga Sudiptha – Yenepoya Medical College
3rd prize: Anagha J, Adithi N Shetty – Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre
Medicine PG winners:
1st prize: Dr Nihad Navas, Dr Sanket Kumar Mohanty – Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore
2nd prize: Dr Sai Bhavani Reddy, Dr Viraj Govindani – Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
3rd Prize: Dr. Deepa Thejendra, Dr Rekha S – Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shivashankara, chairman of the API Udupi-Manipal Chapter and professor & unit head, department of medicine, KMC Manipal, said, “This quiz serves as an excellent platform to encourage young medical minds to deepen their knowledge, develop critical thinking, and engage in healthy academic competition, all of which contribute towards improving the quality of healthcare delivery.”
Dr Padmaraj Hegde, dean of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, remarked, “Such events are instrumental in motivating students to stay actively engaged with their medical curriculum and better prepare themselves for the challenges of clinical practice.”
The event was a grand success, reiterating the commitment of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and the API Udupi-Manipal Chapter towards promoting quality medical education and academic excellence.
