Mangaluru: Silver jubilee of Navodaya self-help group to be celebrated on May 10 at Goldfinch City

The silver jubilee celebrations of the Navodaya Self-Help Group will be held on May 10 at Goldfinch City, informed SCDCC Bank president Dr M N Rajendra Kumar at a press conference.

He said that for the first time in the country, over 1.5 lac women members of the group will participate in the event wearing a blue uniform. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be present on the occasion.







Other dignitaries expected to attend include deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, speaker U T Khader, union minister Pralhad Joshi, Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade, the pontiff of Pejawar Math, cooperation minister K N Rajanna, ministers Dinesh Gundu Rao, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Shivanand Patil, R B Thimmapur, former chief minister Veerappa Moily, Laxman Savadi, G T Devegowda, Dr Uday Shankar Awasthi, Murugesh Nirani, Sunil Kumar, Shivaram Hebbar, Brijesh Chowta, Kota Srinivas Poojary and Dr Prakash Shetty, among others.

Dr Rajendra Kumar further stated that around 3,000 buses from various districts will bring women participants to Mangaluru. Two male staff members will be assigned to each bus. Food and refreshments will be arranged, and all logistical arrangements are being carefully coordinated, he added.

Present at the press conference were bank director Aikalabava Deviprasad Shetty, working president Shashikumar Rai Bolyottu, general secretary Bhaskar S Kotian, and others.
