Udupi: Our Lady of Miracles Church, Kallianpur Celebrates Annual Feast - Video

Udupi, Jan 19: The annual feast of Our Lady of Miracles, Milagres at Kallianpur near here was celebrated on Tuesday January 17 and Wednesday January 18. The annual feast was themed ‘Will be united under the Millar Mai’s Hand’.

Milagres parish priest Fr Stany B Tauro presented the blessed candles to Pirgent John Patrick Lewis and Joseph Montero and other sponsors for the church development on the occasion of annual feast on Wednesday January 18.

Bishop of Jaipur Diocese Fr Oswald Lewis presided over the grand festal Eucharistic celebrations along with Fr Stany B lobo Parish Priest of Milagreas church, Fr Uday, Fr Anil, Fr Ivan and other priest from deanery and out side the denary were present.

Fr Alban D’Souza on his homily said that Millar Mai is mother of Miracles without her blessings nothing can be done in family life.

He questioned is today’s youth are right? Why we don’t want unity? Why sadness on
our religion? And added that God said that one who eat my meat and drink my blood will be in unity. God is love. One who blessed with his love will be united, as unity can build our family, social, and church life.

Fr Maxim Rosario was the main celebrant of festal Eucharistic celebrations held here on Tuesday January 17 night. Fr Stany B Lobo, Fr Uday, principal of Milagres PU
college Fr Ivan Rodrigues, Fr Anil, Episcopal vicar of Udupi Fr Baptist Menezes, Vicar of Kundapur Deanery Fr Oswald D’Souza, Vicar of Shirva Denary Fr Stany Tauro and many priests from the deanery and neighbouring parishes also joined in the Eucharistic Celebrations.

Fr Maxim in his homily reflected on the Gods word, how it’s implementing on us. How it will be implemented in one’s life fully. He said that few people live their life according to the word of god. Everybody is busy with social works, friends, family and feast and there
is no time for god’s word in our busy life.

The Holy Mass concluded with adoration to Holy Sacrament a large number of parishioners attended the Holy Mass. An attractive display of fire-works was also held after the Holy Prayers at the parish grounds.

Milagres parish priest Fr Alban thanked all the donors who supported the annual feast celebrations. Fr Stany delivered special thanks to the Parish council vice-president Leslie Lewis, Secretary James D’Souza for their contribution towards church since many years.

He also thanked the main sponsor John Patrick Lewis and Joseph Montero, well known developers in Santhekatte and they are the promoter of M & L Eden developers Santhekatte.

After the mass Fr Stany B Lobo hand over the charal to the next year 2013 church feast pirgent to Igneous and Henry D’souza Koote Road, Kallianpur.

Confraternity (Corpus Christi) Sunday was celebrated early on Sunday January 15 on occasion of annual feast preparations. Fr J B Crasta was the main celebrant of the occasion.

On occasion of Annual feast Milagreas friends organize the Tulu Social Drama of Devdas Kapikad ‘Porchu Porchudalekka Uppand’ in Milagres English Medium School grounds. Where in Fr Stany B Lobo Felicitated Raj Shekar Kamath, Krishnapa Amin, Melwyn Sequeira, Jeffrey Dias, James D’souza, and Leslie Lewis for their achievement towards the social welfare.
