Prize distribution of VTU Mangalore Zone Volleyball tournament held at SMVITM

Udupi, Apr 23: The valedictory function of the intercollegiate volleyball match was conducted with great enthusiasm and decorum at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi, on April 23.

Principal Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, in his presidential address, highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship and the importance of athletic activities in student development.

This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Principal Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat awarded trophies and certificates to the winning teams and participants.

The winner of the volleyball tournament is Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru and runner of the tournament is Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur. The third place was secured by SMVITM, Bantakal and fourth place by MIT, Kundapura.

As a token of appreciation, gratitude letters were presented to the referees for their fair and dedicated officiation throughout the tournament.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Raghavendra G S, who expressed sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for making the event a grand success.

Vice principal, deans, heads of various departments, physical education directors from various colleges, and other esteemed officials present at the occasion.
