Mangaluru, Apr 24: Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld Media Network Pvt Ltd, inaugurated the G Fresh Supermart at Town Square, Shirva, on Thursday, April 24.

The store was blessed by Dr Leslie Clifford D’Souza, parish priest of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva.

Speaking on the occasion, Walter Nandalike said Pope Francis embraced all religions and deeply respected the teachings of spiritual leaders across faiths. On that note he praised franchise owner Lawrence Rasquinha for embodying the spirit of Pope Francis. "The Pope once said, ‘Life is good if you are happy; life is better if others are happy because of you’. Following this principle, Lawrence invited priests from all three major faith communities to be part of this inauguration – a gesture of unity and harmony," he said.

Walter Nandalike emphasized the importance of offering high-quality products at affordable prices. “Customers should enter G Fresh Super Mart with joy and leave with a smile. This, in itself, is a tribute to the values Pope Francis represents,” he added.

Commending the entrepreneurial spirit of the young couple behind the franchise, he said, “I congratulate them for taking this bold step. Many young people shy away from risks due to fear and hesitation. Parents should encourage their children to take such leaps. Life does not penalize us for taking action — it penalizes us for inaction. When an idea strikes, do not over-discuss it. Decide first, then discuss.”

Fr John Alfred Barboza, parish priest of Infant Jesus Church, Pilar, was present and shared his blessings.
