Yemen, Apr 27: Three Russian sailors were injured after US forces conducted airstrikes on a vessel docked at Yemen’s Ras Isa oil port in Hodeidah province, the Houthi group announced.
Jamal Amer, foreign minister of the unrecognized Houthi government in Sanaa, condemned the ‘US aggression’ in a statement posted on X. He said the vessel was attempting to unload oil cargo when it was struck. "The US airstrikes yesterday targeted a ship anchored in Ras Isa port, resulting in the injury of three Russian sailors. Our Coast Guard personnel immediately intervened to rescue and transport them for medical treatment," Amer stated.

He criticised US claims of targeting military sites and accused President Donald Trump of misleading the public about the objectives of the air campaign in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Houthi-controlled health authorities reported that at least eight civilians, including two children, were wounded when a US airstrike hit a house in Sanaa’s Al-Rawda neighbourhood on Saturday night.
Houthi-run al-Masirah TV also reported more than 20 US airstrikes across Sanaa, and the provinces of Saada, Marib, Hodeidah, and Al-Jawf throughout the day.
The escalation follows the Houthis claiming responsibility for launching attacks on three targets in Israel using a ballistic missile and two drones early Saturday. While the Israel Defense Forces confirmed a projectile fired from Yemen triggered sirens in southern Israel, they did not comment on the reported drone attacks.
The Houthis also said they launched a fresh drone strike on the USS Harry S Truman in the northern Red Sea, calling it retaliation for continued US airstrikes on their positions. The US military has yet to respond to the latest claims.
The United States has intensified air operations against Houthi-held areas since mid-March, while the Houthis have retaliated by targeting US warships operating in the Red Sea.
