Udupi, Apr 27: On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya (Tadige), the Paryaya Sri Puthige Math of Sri Krishna Math, Udupi, will hold a special "Tulaabhaara Seva" to Lord Krishna on April 30. The ceremony will take place at Vasantha Mahal, Sri Madhva Mantapa of Sri Krishna Math, beginning at 4pm.

Speaking at a press conference held at Geetha Mandira on April 27, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji elaborated on the significance of the ritual, stating, "Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated as the day of Lord Parashurama. In scriptures, Lord Parashurama is described as the God of gold and a lover of gold. Therefore, offering and receiving gold on Akshaya Tritiya holds special importance."

Swamiji further explained that the gold collected during the Tulaabhaara ritual will be invested in the making of the Parthasarathi Gold Chariot. Devotees participating in the sacred Tulaabhaara Seva will have the opportunity to offer gold to Lord Krishna and will receive Suvarna Prasada, a gold blessing that has been sanctified by touching the lotus feet of the deity.

Devotees can either purchase gold on-site or bring their own old or used gold to offer during the ceremony. Reflecting on previous initiatives, Swamiji noted, "In our earlier Paryaya, we dedicated the Navaratna Chariot. In this Paryaya, we will be dedicating the Parthasarathi Chariot."
