New Delhi, Apr 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the youth of India for playing a key role in reshaping the global perception of the country, emphasizing their contributions to science, technology, and innovation.
In his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on Sunday, PM Modi asserted that the future of any nation depends on the aspirations and mindset of its young people. He highlighted that Indian youth are making significant strides in various fields, with their achievements garnering international recognition. "Today, India's youth is advancing in science, technology, and innovation. These young people have changed the way the world views India," the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi also focused on regions that were once associated with backwardness, mentioning how the youth in these areas are now leading change and inspiring hope. He pointed to the science centre in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, which was previously known for violence and unrest, but is now becoming a symbol of progress. "Today, it has become a new beacon of hope for children and their parents," he noted, adding that the centre is encouraging youth to engage with emerging technologies such as robotics, 3D printing, and engineering.
In the programme, PM Modi also reflected on his earlier visit to Gujarat Science City, where he inaugurated the Science Gallery. He emphasized that these initiatives, like the Dantewada Science Centre, are fostering curiosity and creativity among the youth. "These galleries provide a glimpse of the power of science and show what science can do for us," he said, expressing his admiration for the enthusiasm children have shown towards these centres.
PM Modi concluded by highlighting that the growing interest in science and innovation among India's youth will play a crucial role in propelling the country to new heights.
