St Agnes Almuni Association, Bangalore Chapter AGM held

Bengaluru, Apr 30: The Agnesian Alumni of Bengaluru conducted their AGM on the April 27.

It was held at the Catholic club, Sky Lounge. A large number of Agnesians from Bengaluru as well as Mangaluru, attended the function. Coreen D'Souza Fareed was re-elected, by a unanimous decision, to continue as president, Lunita Pais D'Sa as vice president, Prajwal Mathias as treasurer while Annette Lobo Menezes took on the role of secretary from Naomi Rasquinha and Brinda Somiah was appointed joint secretary.

The past president, Hilma Roach was appointed election officer. She seamlessly conducted the election process. Her presence was of great support to the association. Marjorie Texeira, vice president of the Agnesian Alumni Association Mangaluru, also attended the event, which was much appreciated.

Agnesians Mariette D'souza, Marissa Noronha, Pearl Fernandes and Jyothi came all the way from Mangaluru. Their presence was also greatly appreciated. Sr Vanessa, the principal of St Agnes college was unable to attend but gave her blessings and good wishes. Vibha Shetty was the master of ceremonies. After the formal election process concluded, everyone had a fun-filled afternoon with lots of games, housie and delicious Chinese cuisine to relish.

The venue vibrated and echoed with the sentiments of friendship and goodwill that made every Agnesian present bond with each other. The sisters Maya and Sheela on keyboards played lively music along with Coreen, Savitha, Lorette, Priya, Prajwal, Lunita and several others singing along, which made everyone dance with gusto and enthusiasm.

A talent competition was held in which Kavitha Rego along with her friend Vineeta did a mono act by singing “Daisy Daisy” entertaining the crowd.

Local songs that were sung in Tulu by Prajwal which made everyone, especially the Bunt community, feel nostalgic. The afternoon concluded with every Agnesian taking back beautiful memories to cherish.
