Brahmavar, May 6: Trupthi, a student of Class 8 at SMS English Medium School (CBSE), has brought laurels to the state and her school by winning a silver medal at the 39th sub-junior girls’ National Handball Championship. representing Karnataka, She competed in the prestigious tournament held recently at the Srirangapatna Sports Ground, Mandya district. The championship was organised by the Mandya District Handball Association and witnessed participation from 24 states across India.
In a thrilling final match against Gujarat, the Karnataka team secured second place, earning the silver medal. Trupthi played a vital role in the team’s success, showcasing exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.


Trupthi is the proud daughter of Nityananda Nayari and Jyothi from Saligrama Chitrapadi. She received training under the guidance of the school’s physical education instructor Prashanth Nayak.
