Operation Sindoor: Karnataka govt orders special prayers at all temples to celebrate success

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 7: Following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor—India’s retaliatory strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan after the brutal gun attack in Pahalgam—celebrations have erupted across the country, with Karnataka now adding a spiritual gesture to the patriotic fervour.

In a symbolic show of solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, Minister for Transport and Muzrai (Religious Endowments) Ramalinga Reddy has ordered special prayers to be held in all temples governed by the state’s Religious Endowment Department.

"This is a prayer for the continued strength and success of our armed forces. Let the blessings of the divine empower our soldiers further," the minister stated.

He said special poojas should be conducted in the name of the Indian Army, thanking them for their bravery and seeking divine support for their safety and future victories.

The move comes as India celebrates the success of Operation Sindoor, which was carried out in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where 26 civilians were killed in a targeted shooting spree believed to be orchestrated from across the border.

Temples across Karnataka will now offer prayers as a mark of gratitude to the military and as a symbolic gesture of national unity and spiritual support.
