Rajnath Singh hails Operation Sindoor as symbol of new India's resolve against terrorism

Lucknow, May 11: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday asserted that the terrorist groups behind the Pahalgam attack had been brought to justice through Operation Sindoor, reaffirming the government’s stance of zero tolerance towards terrorism. Speaking at the launch of a BrahMos missile testing facility in Lucknow, Singh said the response reflected the strength and determination of a "new India" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

He emphasized that the military action extended beyond India’s borders, sending a strong message to terror outfits and their backers. “We have shown that even territory across the border is not safe for terrorists and their masters,” he said, adding that the operation was applauded across the nation not just for its tactical execution but for what it represented — a fusion of India’s political, social, and strategic willpower.

Describing Operation Sindoor as a reflection of India's unwavering resolve, Singh pointed to the far-reaching impact of the strikes, notably the Indian Air Force's hit on the Nur Khan base in Chaklala, Rawalpindi — a bold move that signaled India’s readiness to act deep inside enemy territory when provoked.
