Karkala, May 11: Newly formed Alumni Association Inaugurated recently at Sri Bhuvanendra Residential School, Karkala.
Dr Manjunath Kotian, principal of Sri Bhuvanendra College Karkala, speaking on the occasion, said, “Alumni are the backbone of an educational institution and society. Their role is very important in the progress of an educational institution and in the building of a healthy society. Therefore, every educational institution needs an alumni association. This strengthens the activities carried out in the institution.”


The event was presided over by the institution’s administrator, K Venkatesh Prabhu.
Following the inaugural ceremony, the selection of office bearers for the association was conducted. Advocate from Karkala, M K Vipul Kumar, was elected as the president. Matti Venkatesh Prabhu was chosen as vice president, Bola Avani Kamath as treasurer, and Prasanna Shetty as secretary. Executive committee members are Girish Kamath, Vikyath Shetty, Prakyath, and Prajwal Achar, Savitha Dange
School principal Prameela Kotian welcomed the gathering. Teacher Geetha Shettigar compered the programme, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Aarati Achar.
The programme witnessed the active participation of alumni, teachers, and non-teaching staff of the institution.
