Over 100 terrorists killed in Operation Sindoor strikes: Indian Army

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, May 11: In a major counter-terror operation, the Indian Army confirmed on Sunday that over 100 terrorists were eliminated in precision strikes on nine identified targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir under Operation Sindoor, carried out in the early hours of May 7.

"Nine terror targets were identified after careful deliberation. More than 100 terrorists, including high-value operatives such as Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudasir Ahmed, were neutralised," said Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations, during a press briefing.

The operation was launched in response to the brutal April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. The Army termed the strikes a decisive blow to Pakistan-backed terror infrastructure.

The situation continues to evolve, and more information is expected soon.
