Ayodhya, May 15: In a powerful show of patriotism and national unity, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in the sacred city of Ayodhya on Thursday to celebrate the valiant success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and to honour the indomitable spirit of the Indian armed forces.
The rally, which witnessed an overwhelming turnout, was flagged off from Gandhi Park and culminated at the bustling Chowk area, passing through Civil Lines. The streets of Ramnagari resonated with spirited chants of "Jai Hind" and "Bharat Mata ki Jai" as saffron-clad supporters waved the national flag high in pride.
Prominent figures, including former BJP MP Lallu Singh, Ayodhya MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, and Samajwadi Party rebel MLA Abhay Singh, joined the patriotic march along with enthusiastic members of the BJP Mahila Morcha and hundreds of locals, making it a stirring spectacle of unity and reverence.
The rally comes in the wake of India’s bold retaliatory strikes under ‘Operation Sindoor’, launched in response to the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 brave Indians. The operation, lauded across the country, saw targeted action against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
“Pakistan needed a firm reply, and our forces delivered it with unmatched precision. This is a defining moment in India's fight against terrorism,” said a retired Indian Army soldier who took part in the Yatra.
A retired Subedar Major, moved by the crowd’s support, said, “Our forces are second to none. Their bravery and discipline have once again reinforced our belief that India will never bow to terror.”
Participants said the Tiranga Yatra was more than just a political event—it was a salute to the Indian soldiers who stand guard at the borders and strike fear into the hearts of enemies.
“This is not just a rally; it is our way of showing gratitude to our jawans who risk their lives for us every day. Operation Sindoor was a message to the world that India stands united and fearless,” remarked a local BJP leader from Ayodhya.
As the rally came to an end, the atmosphere remained electric with chants and patriotic fervour, a testimony to the deep-seated love and respect that the citizens of Ayodhya—and indeed the entire nation—hold for the guardians of the nation’s sovereignty.
