Mangaluru, May 24: Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was inaugurated through a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony on May 24, in the esteemed presence of Steevan Pinto, chairman of NIPM Mangaluru Chapter, along with Dr Sudheer Shetty, vice principal; Dr Vishal Samartha, director, MBA programme; Prof Ramesh K G, dean, strategic planning; Dr Sushma V, associate professor and convenor-FDP; Prof Padmanabha B, convenor- job fair; Prof Monisha Shetty, convenor-Sahyadri Carnival and student representatives. Steevan Pinto in his inaugural address appreciated Sahyadri for joining hands with NIPM in advancing research-based initiatives. He acknowledged the institution's proactive role in promoting a culture of inquiry and academic excellence. Pinto also emphasised the importance of such partnerships in building research capabilities and fostering innovation in management education.







Faculty members and research scholars from various institutions participated in the programme. The sessions were meticulously structured to provide hands-on learning and conceptual clarity on critical areas of academic research.
The session on ‘Scholarly Publication’ was facilitated by Dr Smitha Nayak from the department of Humanities and management, MIT, MAHE, and Dr Suhan Mendon from the Manipal School of Commerce and Economics, MAHE, Manipal facilitated the session on data analysis using SMART PLS-SEM and literature review.
