Mangaluru, Jun 6: Mount Carmel Central School, joyfully reopened its doors to the tiny tots of lower kindergarten on June 4 and nursery and pre-nursery on June 5, marking the beginning of their academic journey with smiles, warmth and thoughtful gestures.

The school corridors buzzed with excitement as little feet stepped into their new classrooms, some with cheerful giggles, others with hesitant tears. While a few children walked in confidently holding their parents' hands, others clung to them tightly, adjusting to the unfamiliar environment. Yet, the caring staff and vibrant atmosphere made all the difference in easing their first-day jitters.

To make the transition smoother, the mentors of LKG and Nursery went above and beyond in preparing for the day. Classrooms were lovingly decorated with colourful charts, cheerful cut-outs, and playful learning corners. A bright and welcoming ambience was created to make each child feel safe, happy, and at home.

Adding a special touch to the first day, each section of LKG had a unique surprise for the children: LKG A gifted take-home balloons that brought instant smiles to the young faces. LKG B handed out paper butterflies, symbolising a joyful beginning to their journey of growth and transformation. LKG C welcomed the children with cheerful smiley stickers, spreading happiness and positivity.

For the nursery and pre-nursery children, the school had thoughtfully created a gentle and nurturing environment to make their very first day of school a pleasant and joyful experience. The classrooms were adorned with soft colors, friendly cartoon characters, and playful decorations that sparked curiosity and comfort in the little ones.

Teachers and helpers greeted each child with warm smiles, kind words, and open arms, patiently guiding them through this new phase of life. Soothing rhymes, sensory play, and interactive story time helped ease the separation from their parents. It was truly a heartwarming sight to see the nursery and pre-nursery children slowly opening up, taking their first steps into the world of learning, laughter, and friendship.
