Mangalore: Pillion Rider Killed in Accident

Mangalore, Jan 26: Santosh (27), working in the timber yard located in New Mangalore Port, died in an accident which occurred on Wednesday January 25 near Kulai Honnakatte near the city.

The accident occurred after a tipper hit a two-wheeler moving in front of it. Yaswant, who was riding the scooter, suffered injuries and is recuperating in a hospital.

Santosh was a resident of Mulky Lingappaiah Kadu. He was the son of Shivappa Daknal and a native of Nalgonda. He had married six months back. Santosh was active in Jaya Karnataka organization and Congress party.

Indian National Trade Union Congress district president Rakesh Malli, general secretary Sadashiva Shetty, and former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty have condoled his untimely death.
