Udupi, Jun 9: As a prelude to the academic year 2025–26, St Mary’s English School, Kannarpady, organized a series of enriching orientation and training sessions aimed at empowering teachers with essential skills and innovative methodologies.
In a thoughtful session on May 27, renowned life skills coach Jaikishan Bhat, the resource person, elaborated on the essential qualities of the teaching profession and shared innovative ideas on bringing positive transformations to classrooms. Principal Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza and vice principal Rita Quadros graced the occasion. Srinidhi Rao anchored the session.













St Mary's teachers participated in an engaging Smart Board training workshop held on May 28, where, Resource persons Manoj Balasubramanyam and Gowtham N from Senses Electronics expertly guided the faculty on leveraging smart tools in interactive boards to make teaching more impactful and immersive. Teachers got hands-on experience in utilizing these innovative tools, empowering them to transform their classrooms.

St Mary's teaching staff participated in a one-day training workshop on ‘Classroom management’ in collaboration with Macmillan Education held on May 29. Vamsheepriya Amar, a renowned educator, national trainer, and school leadership expert shared valuable insights on effective classroom management strategies and techniques. Through interactive brainstorming sessions, group discussions, and chart presentations, teacher delegates gained in-depth knowledge on 21st-century skills, experiential learning, and lesson plan construction. The programme was attended by principal Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza, vice principal Rita Quadros, and Sathish from Macmillan Education. Vinaya Suvarna anchored the event.
These thoughtfully organized programmes not only energized the teaching staff but also set a positive tone for a year of meaningful learning, growth, and collaboration at St Mary’s English School.
