Mangaluru, Jun 9: As the Tredicina devotion entered its 10th day, the faithful gathered in large numbers at St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu, and St Anthony Shrine, Milagres Church, Mangaluru, to seek the intercession of St Anthony of Padua, the Wonder Worker, and reflect on the day’s spiritual theme:

“Be Instruments of Reconciliation and Peace – Journey as Pilgrims of Hope.”

The 6 PM Mass at Milagres Church was celebrated by Fr Dominic Vas, OCD, parish priest of Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi. In his deeply reflective homily, Fr Dominic emphasised the Christian call to build bridges, forgive, and sow peace in broken relationships, homes, and communities. Drawing inspiration from the life and mission of St Anthony, he reminded the congregation that reconciliation is not only a divine command but also a pathway to inner healing and communal harmony.

The Mass was concelebrated by Fr J B Crasta, director of St Anthony’s Charitable Institutions, and Fr Praveen Martis, administrator of the Ashram.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, Fr Praveen Martis led the novena devotion, offering prayers and intentions of the faithful to St Anthony, the saint known for his powerful intercession. The prayerful ambience, united voices, and heartfelt petitions added a special grace to the day’s liturgical celebrations.
