Bathinda, Jun 13: In a tragic and shocking incident, popular Punjabi social media influencer Kamal Kaur, also known as Kanchan Kumari, was found dead in a parked car at the Adesh Medical University premises in Bathinda, Punjab, on Wednesday night.

According to Bathinda SP Narendra Singh, the car, which bore a Ludhiana registration, had been stationary in the campus parking lot for several days. The discovery came after passersby noticed a foul smell emanating from the vehicle and alerted the authorities. Upon inspection, the police found the decomposing body of a woman in the back seat, later identified as Kamal Kaur.

Kamal Kaur had reportedly informed her family on June 9 that she was heading to Bathinda for a promotional event. However, she lost contact thereafter, and no updates were shared until her body was discovered. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently under investigation.

Kamal Kaur, believed to be in her early 30s, was a resident of Ludhiana and had been living in Chandigarh. An alumna of Panjab University, she had made a name for herself in the digital world with her humorous and bold video content. She was active on YouTube and boasted over 3.85 lakh followers on Instagram, where her videos often sparked both laughter and controversy.

While she was celebrated by many fans for her outspoken style, her content also attracted criticism for frequent use of coarse language. Her last Instagram post, uploaded before she went missing, raised eyebrows with a cryptic and unsettling caption:

"No emotion, no love, no f**k. Only doubt doubt doubt is left."

Kamal Kaur had previously faced threats to her life. In October 2024, Canada-based gangster and designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, issued a chilling audio threat against her. In the recording, Dalla accused Kaur of "spoiling Punjab’s youth" with vulgar content and warned of consequences if she did not delete her videos.

He reportedly said, “This is ruining the image of our community. If one person dies because of this, no one will care.”

Arsh Dalla is a known associate of slain Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and has been linked to multiple terror-related activities in India.

While police have not yet confirmed if the threats had any connection to her death, the possibility is being examined as part of the investigation. Forensic teams have been deployed, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed.

The untimely death of Kamal Kaur has sent shockwaves across the Punjabi entertainment and digital influencer community. Tributes have started pouring in from fans and fellow creators as the mystery deepens.
