Sonipat, Jun 16: Sheetal, a model associated with the Haryana music industry who had been missing since June 14, was found dead in a canal in Kharkhauda, Sonipat. The grim discovery was confirmed by police on Monday.
“We received information about a woman’s body in the canal. Upon investigation and identification, it was found to be Sheetal, for whom a missing report had been filed in Panipat,” said Ajit Singh, ACP, Sonipat Headquarters.
The Sonipat Police took possession of the body late last night and sent it to the civil hospital for post-mortem, according to India Today. The cause of death remains unclear, and authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances behind her death.
