Mangalore: Diocesan Jubilee Holy Cross Begins Pilgrimage Journey

Mangalore, Jan 27: The pilgrimage journey of the post-centenary diocesan jubilee Holy Cross began from Milagres parish on Thursday January 26.

Milagres parish priest Fr Walter D’Mello celebrated the Holy Mass along with Fr Anil D’Souza, Fr Francis Xavier Gomes and Fr Santosh Rodrigues at the parish before the ceremonial procession.

A motorcade accompanied the jubilee Holy Cross held by Fr Walter D’Mello along with altar boys and reached St Vincent Ferrer parish, Valencia here. Valencia parish priest Fr Bonaventure Nazareth and the parishioners welcomed the Holy Cross on the occasion.

An open air adoration of the Holy Cross was held at Valencia parish ground. A large number of faithful participated in the religious celebrations.

The jubilee Holy Cross will make its onward journey to St Rita parish, Cascia.
