International Yoga Day celebrated at St Aloysius Gonzaga School with star performer Shaurya Kumar

Mangaluru, Jun 21: St Aloysius Gonzaga School, marked International Yoga Day on June 21, with a vibrant celebration promoting physical wellness and mental harmony among students. Students from class I to XII performed Yoga on this occasion to mark the celebration of International Yoga Day.

A special highlight of the day was the yoga demonstration by master Shaurya Kumar, a student of class VI, who has recently brought international glory to India. Shaurya clinched three gold medals at the First Commonwealth Open Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 held in Bali, Indonesia.

Representing Team India through the Indian Yogasana Sports Federation, he showcased exceptional poise and precision in the 10–12 years category, securing top honours in Traditional Championship, Own Choice Championship, and Artistic Solo Championship.

During the school’s International Yoga Day celebration, Shaurya’s Yoga demonstration, inspired the student community. The celebration served as a reminder of the importance of integrating yoga into daily life to nurture a healthy body, mind, and spirit.

Through such meaningful observances, the school continues to instill values of discipline, well-being, and excellence in its students.
