Srinivas University organises educational science awareness programme

Mangaluru, Jun 23: The Ramakrishna Mission organised a thought-provoking and educational science awareness programme titled “Igniting the Future – ISRO’s Legacy and Beyond”, with the objective of inspiring young minds to delve into scientific pursuits and appreciate India’s remarkable journey in space technology on June 22.

A major highlight of the event was the innovative ‘Space on Wheels’ mobile exhibition, which vividly showcased the achievements of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) through detailed satellite models, launch vehicle prototypes, informative displays, and interactive visuals.

Adding significant depth and value to the programme, Padma Shri Dr A S Kiran Kumar, former chairman of ISRO, delivered a special address. His insightful session offered students a rare glimpse into the vision, challenges, and future prospects of India’s space mission, highlighting the critical role ISRO plays in national development and global space initiatives.

Under the guidance of Dean, Dr Pavithra Kumari and head of the department and NSS coordinator, approximately 40 students from various aviation-related programmes BBA Aviation Management, Aviation and Logistics Management, Aviation Travel and Tourism Management, and MBA Aviation Management actively participated in the event. Their engagement reflected a strong enthusiasm for scientific learning and technological innovation.

The programme successfully blended education with inspiration, motivating students to broaden their scientific horizons and contribute meaningfully to the field of space science and the larger goal of national progress. It stood as a testament to the power of experiential learning and the importance of fostering a scientific temper among the youth.
