St Agnes PU College bids farewell to Hindi teacher Dr P V Sobha after 33 yrs of dedicated service

Mangaluru, Jun 24: A heartfelt farewell ceremony was organised at St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru on June 21 to honour the retirement of Dr P V Sobha, a respected and beloved lecturer in Hindi, who dedicated over 33 years of her life in nurturing generations of students with knowledge, discipline and values.

The programme commenced with meaningful prayer service led by the Department of Commerce adding a sense of solemnity and grace to the occasion. Venetia, HoD, Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering by creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.

Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC who graced the august gathering expressed her sentiments in warm and glowing terms on Dr P V Sobha and wished her an eventful life ahead post retirement.

The principal, Sr Norine D’Souza highlighted the remarkable journey and contributions of Dr P V Sobha to the institution. She praised her deep subject knowledge, impeccable teaching style and motherly guidance to students.

Pramila D’Souza shared emotional and memorable time spent with Dr P V Sobha in touching felicitation words. A special farewell song was rendered by the colleagues, as a loving tribute of gratitude and affection, leaving the moment imbued with warmth and lasting memories.

Dr P V Sobha expressed her gratitude recalling her fond memories and experiences in the institution. She thanked the management, fellow teachers and the non-teaching staff who always inspired to give her best to the institution.

Jeevan B R, lecturer in Hindi co-ordinated the entire programme efficiently.

The programme was ably compered by Anitha G Shenoy, HoD, Department of Hindi.
