Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 25: The campus of St Theresa’s School, Bendur, was transformed into a vibrant runway of responsibility, innovation, and eco-conscious flair as the school hosted its much-awaited Eco-Themed Fashion Show competition – ‘Eco-Style with a Purpose'.

The event aimed to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainability among young learners through creativity and style. Students from grades 1 and 2 walked the ramp confidently, clad in outfits made from recycled and eco-friendly materials. From jute and newspapers to coconut shells, plastic wrappers, and old CDs, the budding fashionistas wowed the audience with their ingenious use of waste materials, proving that fashion can indeed be sustainable.

The highlight of the event was a heartwarming and inspiring address by the principal, Sr Lourdes, who engaged in an interactive conversation with the students. She remarked, “When we reuse and recycle, we are giving our planet a big hug. And today, students have shown us how creativity and care for nature can go hand in hand. We are not just walking the ramp we are walking towards a greener future.”

The event concluded with thunderous applause, encouraging cheers, and a strong message of hope and responsibility. The Eco-Fashion Show not only celebrated style but also sowed seeds of environmental stewardship in the hearts of young Theresians.
