Mangaluru, Jun 26: Srinivas University, Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management participated in a special talk and interactive session organized by Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, on June 22. The session, titled 'Igniting the future: ISRO’s legacy and beyond', was delivered by Padma Shri Dr A S Kiran Kumar, former chairman of ISRO.
Dr Kumar shared remarkable insights into India’s space missions, innovations, and ISRO’s future vision. A highlight of the event was the ‘Space on Wheels’ mobile exhibition, which featured interactive models and informative displays. A total of 45 students from the institute attended the event and found it to be highly inspiring and educational.




The session also helped BBA Port and BBA logistics management students understand the importance of advanced technology and satellite systems in modern port operations and supply chain tracking.
Additionally, it offered valuable insights into how space-based logistics innovations, such as GPS, remote sensing, and geospatial data, are transforming global trade and maritime management.
