Udupi, Jun 26: Mount Rosary English School, Santhekatte Kalyanpura holds inauguration of school cabinet and clubs.
Varsha Thudiyadka, a research student of health sciences at Kasturba Hospital and alumni of Mount Rosary School, inaugurated the school cabinet and shared her experiences from her school days. “The student’s parliament is the foundation for leadership. It teaches about the importance of democracy and provides knowledge about the constitution. It also develops discipline, leadership and responsibility in students. Future leaders are formed in the student council,” she added.



Correspondent Fr Dr Roque D’Souza administered the oath to the school pupil leader and assistant pupil leader and said, “Leadership is not about holding a position but setting an example through words and actions.”
Assistant parish priest Fr Rohan Mascarenhas administered the oath to the 43 newly inducted members of the student council, including club heads, house leaders, and cabinet members. He wished them well in their roles and responsibilities.
Newly elected school president Satwik Nayak, who won with a strong majority, expressed gratitude to the student body and sought everyone’s cooperation in running the student government effectively.
Headmistress Sr Ancilla addressed the gathering and urged the student leaders to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
Neil D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Assistant pupil leader Guruprasad Acharya delivered the vote of thanks and Rania Altaf compered the event.
Coordinator of students parliament teacher Alwyn Danthy and Prescilla, were present on the occasion.
