Mangaluru, Jun 28: St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, inaugurated its month-long Go Green Project on June 27, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living.
The initiative aims to promote ecological justice and sustainable lifestyles among students and the wider community, in alignment with the CBSE initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”







The inaugural ceremony was graced by chief guest Aroor Arjun Rao, principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, and vice-principal Laurel D’Souza.
As a symbolic launch, principal Fr Rohan handed over a sapling to Sharel Fernandes and Shwetha Jasani, parents of Shinead Fernandes (Class XII) and Karan Jasani, (Class X B) urging families to actively involve their children in nurturing the environment.
The event highlighted the importance of viewing nature not as a resource to exploit but as a gift to cherish and protect. Through plantation drives and awareness campaigns, the Go Green initiative encourages every stakeholder to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards a greener, cleaner future.
