Udupi, June 30: BJP MLC C T Ravi criticised the Congress-led state government, stating that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar have “raised their hands” and surrendered to corruption and corrupt individuals.
Addressing a press conference held at Sharada Kalyana Mantapa Auditorium, Udupi, on Monday, June 30, MLC C T Ravi said, “CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar have put the burden of price hikes on the people. When people are suffering, the whole Congress has raised their hands. They have raised their hands for corruption and surrendered to the corrupt. They are the main reason for the price hike, and people have understood this.”
MLC C T Ravi also raised concern over the increasing number of deaths due to cardiac arrest. “There is a need for medical research on the rising deaths due to cardiac arrest. Is it because of lifestyle, food habits, or mental stress? Scientific research must be conducted. The health minister did not worry about the maternity death, did not worry about the infant deaths, and now people are dying of cardiac arrest. At least pay attention to this issue. Keep politics aside and do your duty as a minister by forming a team of experts and conducting medical research. We will also discuss this in Parliament.”
Highlighting the achievements of the Modi-led NDA government, C T Ravi said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA government has completed 11 years. In 2047, when India completes 100 years of independence, the Modi government is determined to make India self-reliant (Atma Nirbhar Bharat), a global leader (Vishwa Guru Bharat), and Vishwa Mitra Bharat. Every family in India must become self-dependent and poverty-free. India must become a fully developed nation.”
C T Ravi further stated, “Before 2014, the Indian economy was in the 11th position globally. Today, it stands at the 4th place. We have overtaken Britain, which ruled us for 200 years, and recently surpassed Japan. In the next two to three years, we will surpass Germany, which is currently in the 3rd position. China and America are the only countries ahead of us. Ours is a growing economy, while theirs are stagnant or declining.”
Explaining the governance approach of the Modi government, C T Ravi said, “The Modi government works with the principles of reform, performance, and transformation. Former PM Manmohan Singh said that Muslims have the first right over the wealth of the nation, while Modi said the poor have the first right. The one who spoke for Muslims was called secular, and the one who spoke for the poor was called communal.”
C T Ravi added, “The Modi government is determined to make the country terrorism-free and naxalism-free in the coming years. PM Modi has encouraged local production through the Vocal-for-Local initiative.”
