Udupi, July 1: Two persons sustained injuries after their car rammed into the rear of a parked lorry near the Hejamadi Toll Plaza at around 4 am on Monday.

The injured have been identified as Lokesh (43), a resident of Kodikare, and Viraj (29), a resident of Kulai.

According to sources, the duo was returning home after attending a programme when the incident occurred. The lorry, loaded with wooden planks, was parked a few metres from the toll gate. The car driver reportedly failed to notice the stationary vehicle and crashed into it from behind.
