Udupi: Fr George Hess Memorial Literary Events 2025-26 held at Trinity Central School

Udupi, Jul 1: Trinity Central School, Perampalli played host to nearly 10 schools that participated in the Fr George Hess Memorial Literary Events under the aegis of the ASISC and KISA affiliates at the Zonal Level on Saturday, June 28.

The day commenced with a short stage programme compered by Renita Monteiro. Present on the dais were principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, vice principal and administrator Fr Amar Lobo and academic coordinator Magdalena Lewis.

Following the prayer, Renita welcomed the gathering after which the principal spoke a few words of encouragement. After the short stage programme, participants were escorted by the respective in-charge teachers to the competition venues.

The literary events bore witness to the stupendous talents of students as they battled it out with vivid colours, innate creativity, oratory prowess and lucid expressions leaving the judges highly impressed, and in quite a jamboree to decide the ultimate winners. Competitions were held in two categories – Sub juniors (Grades 6-8) and juniors (Grades 9 and 10), in quiz, creative writing, declamation and painting. Debate was conducted for the junior category only.

In saying so, at the end of all the competitions, as the prizes in the various categories were announced, enthusiastically joyous students came forward to acknowledge their achievements, with their peers cheering them on. As the event came to a close, the principal expressed his gratitude to all the participating schools and students, and acknowledged the efforts of all the staff and faculty of Trinity Central School, accrediting all with the success of the event.

Breakfast and lunch were served to all present.
