Sullia: Young doctor succumbs to injuries days after bike accident near Sonangeri

Sullia, Jul 5: In a tragic incident, a young doctor who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru after sustaining serious injuries in a recent road accident, passed away on Thursday, July 4.

Dr Shamanth Bhat (25), a resident of Kallugundi, had suffered critical injuries after his bike collided with a KSRTC bus near Sonangeri a few days ago.

He was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru where he was being treated for severe leg injuries. Despite undergoing surgery, his condition worsened and he succumbed to his injuries.

Dr Shamanth was serving as a physician at Namma Clinic in Duggalladka. The accident reportedly occurred while he was returning home from work.
