Mangaluru, Jul 5: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised a workshop on 'Mastering LinkedIn for Career Growth' for MBA Aviation Management students on July 3.

The workshop was aimed at equipping them with essential skills to build and enhance their professional presence on LinkedIn. The session was conducted by Jeevan Austin Veigas, marketing manager at Srinivas University. The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, Dean; Anjana T V, head of the department; and Swasthika, IT coordinator, with the support and coordination of other faculty members and staff.

The workshop focused on practical aspects of using LinkedIn for career development, including profile optimisation, showcasing skills and achievements, building professional connections, and utilizing the platform for job searches.

Jeevan Austin Veigas conducted live demonstrations to guide students in updating their LinkedIn profiles and crafting compelling ‘About Me’ sections.

The interactive session provided hands-on experience, allowing students to ask questions and receive personalised feedback. The workshop was well-received and appreciated by the participants for its relevance and practical value, reflecting the institute’s commitment to preparing students for successful professional careers.

The session also highlighted the importance of maintaining an active LinkedIn presence and regularly engaging with industry-related content.

Students were encouraged to follow companies, join professional groups, and participate in meaningful conversations to increase their visibility.
