Two farmers killed by speeding car while repairing tractor in Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, Jul 6: In a tragic incident, two farmers lost their lives after being hit by a speeding car while repairing a punctured tyre on Saturday in the Sangar area of Jaisalmer district.

The victims, Bhura Ram (42) and Surat Ram (51), both residents of Pachpadara, were en route to Mohangarh with a tractor-trolley for agricultural work. Their vehicle developed a puncture near the Bhelani toll post, and while they were attempting to fix it, a fast-moving car struck them.

They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Police said an investigation is underway into the circumstances of the accident.
