Mangaluru, Jul 8: 'Choose life - reject addiction', with this theme, mental health awareness, stress management and drug awareness programme was jointly organized by Dr Thunga’s Manaswini hospital Arkula and Rosa Mystica P U College on July 5.
Shashikala, counsellor and coordinator of community and educational services at Dr Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, delivered a talk focusing on drug awareness and addiction prevention. She stressed the importance of vigilance at the family, school, and community levels, pointing out that early intervention and consistent attention to children’s behavior can help prevent them from falling into drug use.










Sr Anita Lydia, the principal emphasized the students about the issue of drug addiction, highlighting its emergence as a significant social problem. Life is a precious gift from God and it’s our responsibility to love and take care of it, she said.
Teachers and students from Rosa Mystica college took part in the programme and gained valuable insights into the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of mental health.
