Hisar, Jul 10: A horrifying incident unfolded on Thursday at a private school in Haryana’s Hisar district, where two minor students allegedly stabbed their school’s director-cum-principal to death over disciplinary action.
The tragic event occurred at Kartar Memorial Senior Secondary School in Bass village, Narnaund subdivision. The victim, identified as Jagbir Singh Pannu, was reportedly attacked inside the school premises by two students from Classes 11 and 12. According to initial reports, the students were angry over being frequently reprimanded for not maintaining proper grooming standards, specifically their haircuts, and failing to adhere to school discipline.
Eyewitnesses stated that the students approached the principal during school hours and launched a brutal knife attack, stabbing him multiple times. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Hisar by school staff, Jagbir Singh succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Local police reached the school immediately and have launched a full investigation. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and witness statements are being recorded to reconstruct the sequence of events.
Preliminary findings suggest that the motive behind the attack stemmed from the principal's insistence on discipline, which the two students reportedly resented. The accused fled the scene following the attack and have since been identified. However, being minors, their identities remain confidential under juvenile protection laws.
The Superintendent of Police stated that the exact reasons and circumstances surrounding the murder will become clearer after a post-mortem report and a thorough investigation.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the village and surrounding areas, especially as it occurred on Guru Purnima, a day traditionally dedicated to honouring teachers. Instead of celebration, the community was left in mourning, grappling with disbelief that such violence could erupt within an educational institution.
The entire school community remains in shock, with villagers expressing deep sorrow over the tragic breakdown of the teacher-student relationship.
