Mangaluru: Mental health & stress management awareness programme held at Expert PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 13: Expert PU College, Valachil, organised an insightful session on mental health & stress management awareness at the cultural centre. The programme featured Dr Survesh Kumar as the resource person who is an esteemed consultant psychiatrist at Dr Thunga’s Manaswini hospital arkula Farangipete, Mangaluru.

Dr Survesh Kumar shared his insights on the importance of about stress and various types of stress commonly found in students. he discussed the psychology of stress and various psychological effects of stress such as emotional sensitivity and cardiovascular changes.

He also explained the various chronic stress effects such as blood pressure, mental health problems, personality disorders etc as well as the various methods to reduce stress like reconstructing thoughts mindfulness, taking professional help, unlearning and relearning.

The students participated actively making the session lively and informative.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal principal of the college , Gurudatta N, coaching head, Anitha P Shetty, CRM and student welfare officers were present at the occasion.
