Udupi, July 15: Several passengers were injured after two express buses collided head-on near MGM College on the Udupi–Manipal highway.
According to eyewitnesses, a bus travelling from Manipal towards Udupi reportedly lost its brakes and collided with another private express bus coming from the opposite direction.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage due to the impact. The accident also resulted in a heavy traffic jam on both sides of the highway.
Udupi traffic police rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic congestion.
