Health check-up for journalists launched in association with Kasturba Hospital, Manipal

Udupi, Jul 19: A comprehensive health check-up program for journalists was inaugurated on Saturday at Manipal Kasturba Hospital under the aegis of the Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association, in collaboration with the Udupi Patrika Bhavana Committee and the taluk units of Karkala, Kundapura, Kaup, Byndoor, and Hebri, with the support of Manipal Kasturba Hospital.

On this occasion, Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal; Sachin Karanth, head of the marketing department; marketing manager Mohan Shetty; district president of the association Rajesh Shetty Alevoor; general secretary Nazeer Polya; treasurer Umesh Marpalli; convener of Udupi Press Club Ajith Aradi; Kundapur taluk association president Nagaraj Rayappana Math, and others were present.

A total of 50 journalists will undergo various health tests in different stages, including diabetes, kidney function, ECG, echo, X-ray, ultrasound, and consultations with specialist doctors.
